Gutzon Borglum was one of the great sculptors of the world whom Korczak admired and placed with the likes of Michelangelo and Leonardo.

One of Korczak's greatest treasures was the short time he spent working with Mr. Borglum on Mount Rushmore in 1939.

Each of these gentlemen's mountains tells an important side in the history of our country. One of Korczak's bas relief bronzes of Borglum hangs in the State Capital in Pierre, SD. Korczak created the original plaster bas relief in 1962.
