This casting is from the original seahorse I carved in ivory as a gift to my mother. It was my first sculpture. I carved it when I was 22 years old.

I named the carving because the original can be opened so you can hide things inside. A lock of hair from my father's beard is inside the original carving. My daughter is named "Heidi," pronounced the same as but spelled differently. I always have to tell people that the names don't have anything to do with each other.

The bronze casting of is available in a variety of beautiful patinas or colors. I wouldn't mind if you bought more than one to display together.
