of mind necessary to be a great leader.
- White Buffalo Calf Woman, representing unity and peace,
brings the sacred Pipe to her
people and invites us to join with each other in uniting the people of the world.
- The Elder, representing wisdom, is holding a Wampum Belt telling future generations
how peace was achieved.
- The Buffalo represents abundance in all aspects of life.
- The Turtle represents longevity in life, determination, strength, endurance and patience.
For many Native American people, the turtle represents Turtle Island -- Mother Earth.
- The Wolf represents strong determination. The wolf spirit presided over the chase
and war parties.
- The Bear represents spiritual strength, self-reliance and many kinds of medicine.
The bear was also the patron of mischief and fun.
- The Beaver represents dedication and perseverance. The spirit of the Beaver was also
the patron of work, provision and domestic faithfulness.
