This sculpture is of my mother, Ruth, my daughter, Heidi and me, all wrapped into one.

There is a painting of my mother when she first came to her home in the Black Hills of South Dakota. She is looking into the future, knowing it may be a long, full life, yet she is ready. Just let me be one tenth as elegant.
